Justin is a senior lawyer and principal at McMullen Lawyers. He has expansive knowledge and a wealth of experience (you’d hope so; he’s the boss!) in advising both private and corporate clients over his 20 year career.
In addition to enthusiastically helping his clients with their most important business and property transactions, including buying and selling businesses, commercial leasing and land subdivision. Justin also remains focused on helping his customers navigate the important and often sensitive areas of estate planning and administration of estates. Estate and business succession planning for people in business is one of his key interests.

Justin is a former long serving member of the Property and Commercial Law Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania and has also served as a vice president of Cycling Australia.
Presently, Justin holds the position of Water Polo Australia Counsel enabling him to provide guidance to the WPA disciplinary tribunal and to the sport’s governing body in general.

When Justin is away from work you will often find him whizzing around the velodrome or riding the hills of Hobart on his bike.

Alison has a strong background in estate planning and administration of deceased estates and is especially proficient in the preparation of wills, testamentary trusts, enduring powers of attorney and enduring guardianships. Alison can assist with any Probate application and Letters of Administration and talk you through the entire process with empathy, clarity and only a little bit of jargon.

Alison joined us from a larger firm and finds our humbler firm suits her far better (the free parking certainly helps).

Alison entered law because she wanted to help people. She loves solving problems and assisting people in negotiating difficult times in their life, like the loss of a family member.
Although she thought she would never finish her degree, Alison has accomplished a tremendous amount in her 25 year career. She is currently the chair of the Elder Law Committee, has contributed to a submission on why Tasmania should have a Charter for Human Rights and is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society for her work on human rights.

When she’s out of office, Alison is a keen and accomplished bushwalker and scuba diver, having conquered most of Tassie’s mountains and dived in waters worldwide (what is it about lawyers and bushwalking!).

Robyn is a Senior Lawyer at McMullen Lawyers and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in a number of areas including Estate Administration (Probate) and Estate Planning (Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys and Guardianship Appointments), Taxation, Commercial and Property Law.

She graduated from UTas with a Bachelor or Laws in 2003 and completed her Graduate Certificate of Legal Practice in 2004, also earning admittance to the Supreme Court of Tasmania and the High Court of Australia in the same year. Her decision to pursue law came from a desire to help people experiencing stressful situations and a love of meeting new people from all walks of life.

Robyn did the thing that most people swear they will never do and went back to school to complete a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology and Criminology in 2013.
Robyn loves the flexibility, support and family friendly nature at McMullen Lawyers.

When she isn’t working hard here, Robyn loves exploring the outdoors; bush walking, camping, kayaking and being at the beach with her family.

Tessa graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. She then completed the Graduate Certificate of Legal Practice in 2009.

After having had 12 years practicing experience with a firm in the Huon Valley, Tessa decided to take a break from practice.

She commenced with McMullen Lawyers in February 2024.

Her areas of practice include:
· Estate planning including wills, powers of attorney and guardianship appointments;
· Corporate structures, trusts and business succession planning;
· Property developments including subdivisions and strata law;
· Leasing both commercial and residential;
· Residential, commercial and rural conveyancing.

Tessa’s approach to dealing with these matters is practical and professional whilst supporting clients to achieve an amenable outcome.

When she’s not in the office, Tessa likes to enjoy spending time with her family and friends.

Megan has been in the conveyancing industry for 3 years and started with McMullen Lawyers in November 2023.

Megan’s background in administration has uniquely equipped her for navigating the intricacies of residential conveyancing.

Her commitment to clear communication enhances her ability to facilitate smooth transactions & provide clients with a seamless experience.

In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, crafts & gardening.
